AnaCredit Converter

AnaCredit is a dataset containing detailed information on individual bank loans in the euro area, harmonised across all Member States. “AnaCredit” stands for analytical credit datasets.

The AnaCredit project was initiated in 2011 and data collection started in September 2018. Since this year Banks has been able to evaluate dedicated technical and technical validation confirmations for master data and credit data. These files are not self-explanatory and can not be explored without documentation.
Many institutes are currently faced with the challenge of finding an efficient and targeted analysis option for these XML responses within the tight deadline of the monthly reporting process in order to be able to focus on solving and processing the errors.

AnaCredit Converter is a tool which offers institutes just this possibility and enables the institutes to meet the data quality requirements of the supervisors.

HOW DOES ACUT WORK?
AnaCredit Converter is designed as an simple stand-alone App which allows to convert/export the AnaCredit XML respone files into a human readable Excel document.

Detail view of technical and technical validation errors
The next click will build up detailed views for both functional and technical validation errors. In these the information of the feedback files are displayed. These are enriched by concrete information from the official documents of the Bundesbank and the submitted report. This results in a comprehensive picture of the individual validation codes and errormessages respectively for the master and credit data in the form of

Error Description,
of validation,
CP_ID,
TYP_CP_ID,
Description of TYP_CP_ID,
Contract number,
Instrument number and
Security.

Documentation and knowledge storage
ACUT also offers the option of documenting the steps required to process a validation error directly on the error. The corresponding fields are individually tailored by us to each institute, so that the institute-specific needs in the documentation can be taken into account. Thus, for example, the following contents can be stored:

Instructions for further processing,
Responsible contact person,
Prioritization,
Status and / or
further comments.
This allows all activities to be mapped to the processes and systems of the institute. All entries are saved from the first message and automatically played in subsequent months when a known error occurs again. As a result, the institute not only develops audit-proof documentation but also a knowledge repository that can be used by all employees.

Overview of the frequency of occurrence of individual errors
To get a better overall impression of the error image, ACUT provides an overview showing the absolute frequency of occurrence of the individual validation errors. Furthermore, it is specified how the total sum of all occurring errors is distributed among the number of error types. This representation provides the basis for the construction of meaningful time series.

Construction of time series
The data stored in ACUT can be displayed over time. This allows the operator to analyze, over all stored deadlines, how the errors that have occurred so far have developed in frequency, which can be used to test the effectiveness of error tracking. In particular, new errors are highlighted in color and are therefore immediately recognizable.

With just one click you are able to display the development of errors both numerically and graphically and to compare deadlines.

WHAT BENEFITS OFFERS ACUT?
With the help of ACUT, reportable institutions are able to get an initial overview of their error picture within a very short time. ACUT converts the largely cryptic XML response files into a readable form and processes large amounts of data quickly, effectively and cost effectively. ACUT’s processing and analysis of the data collected is particularly useful for quickly and reliably detecting new and potentially serious errors in the AnaCredit messages.

In addition, ACUT offers the option of defining and storing instructions and responsibilities as well as automatically applying them to future feedback, thus offering the option of audit-proof documentation directly in the tool.

Thus, ACUT is able to relieve the usually scarce human resources in terms of time significantly, in order to make them otherwise within the reporting op
